| In collaboration with ShopAppy, we’re encouraging people to support their local businesses on 14 February for ‘Love Local Day’. Love Local Day 2023 comes at a time when many small independent high street businesses are under immense pressure, due to soaring inflation, costly energy bills and reduced consumer spend, so this year it’s more important than ever for people to shop local. You can celebrate Love Local Day by nominating your favourite business via the ShopAppy website. The deadline for nominations is 14 February, and winners will be announced on 20 February. All winners will receive a prize. We’re pleased to announce that so far, over 50 businesses in Abingdon, Botley, Didcot, Faringdon, Henley, Wallingford and Wantage have been nominated. You can also support our local businesses by using the hashtag #LoveLocalDay on social media, and encouraging friends and family to nominate their favourite business. |
