THE VALE OF WHITE HORSE DISTRICT COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROADS, FARINGDON NO.21)
ORDER 2022
WHEREAS the Vale of White Horse District Council is satisfied that, on the occasion of
the Platinum Jubilee Parade the following roads named below are likely to be thronged
or liable to be obstructed:
Cornmarket
Market Place (including bus lane)
London Street from its junction with Swan Lane to its junction with Market
Place
Church Street from its junction with Swan Lane to its junction with Market
Place
Gloucester Street from its junction with Lechlade Road to Cornmarket
NOW THEREFORE the Vale of White Horse District Council, in exercise of its powers
under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847, hereby makes the following
Order:-
(1) Save as provided in Article 2 of this Order, between the hours of 10:30 and 12:30
on 04 June 2022 the streets as detailed above shall be closed to all vehicular traffic.
(2) The restriction referred to in Article 1 of this Order shall not apply to emergency
service vehicles and shall be subject to the discretion of a Police Officer in uniform.
(3) This Order may be cited as “The Vale of White Horse District Council (Temporary
Closure of Roads, Faringdon No.21 Order 2022”.

Notice is hereby given that Vale of White Horse District Council has made an Order
under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847, the effect of which is, on the
occasion of the Platinum Jubilee Parade on 04 June 2022 between 10:30 and 12:30 to
close the roads below to all vehicular traffic:
Cornmarket
Market Place (including bus lane)
London Street from its junction with Swan Lane to its junction with Market
Place
Church Street from its junction with Swan Lane to its junction with Market
Place
Gloucester Street from its junction with Lechlade Road to Cornmarket
This temporary restriction does not apply to emergency service vehicles and is subject to
the discretion of a Police Officer in uniform.
