FARINGDON TOWN TEAM – PRESS RELEASE
Resulting from a joint initiative between the Vale of White Horse District Council, Faringdon Town Council and the Chamber of Commerce, a new management board has been formed to co-ordinate the work of the Faringdon Town Team. The aim of the project is to promote a vibrant economy and continually enhance the retail offering within the town. Mark Blatch, President of the Faringdon Chamber of Commerce was elected as the first chairman of the new board, which includes councillors, Jane Boulton, Roger Cox and Judith Heathcoat, supported by the Town Clerk and a VoWHDC Economic Development Officer. Mark Blatch commented, “I am delighted to chair this new team and we intend to focus specifically on improving the retail offering.” This new team replaces the now outdated Joint Economic Forum.
